At SPS 2019, Wieland Electric will present the prototype of a new motor starter that adds a new dimension to decentralized automation in terms of size, safety functions and handling. The podisMS 5HP not only presents itself as the smallest decentralized motor starter in its power range, but also as the first decentralized motor starter with IP65 protection and integrated STO (Safe Torque Off) safety function. The drive solution, which can be parameterized without software, is also characterized by simple handling during commissioning, operation and maintenance and features a sophisticated thermal design which, together with electronic low-wear switching, contributes to a long service life - even with frequent switching cycles.

 

 

 

Even in the clearest water, Endress+Hauser’s Turbimax CUS52D smart turbidity sensor and CUA252 flow cell provide continuous, unattended monitoring of drinking and process water quality with laboratory accuracy or better. Its smart calibration tools and optional self-cleaning tools make this sensor a safe, convenient and highly reliable component of a water treatment package.

 

 

 

For the first time ever, users can now make customised adjustments to the housings of series-produced industrial interfaces by using the Han Configurator, the HARTING online tool for designing connectors (at www.harting.com). Cable entries can be modified, letterings can be applied to hoods and housings.

 

 

 

With the new Han Shielded Power Module, users can for the first time make the connection of shielded power cables both modular and mateable. Also new to the Han-Modular portfolio is an M12 solution for mechanical engineering and transportation applications, as well as the Han DD double module. From the latter, space-saving interfaces can be created e.g. in robotics and automation that enable shorter assembly times.

 

 

 

The Han DDD industrial connector is currently the most consistent representation of miniaturisation in the robotics sector. The monoblock expands the benefits of the Han D Series to enable the strongest possible transmission on minimum installation space. The triple “D” stands for maximum contact density.

 

 

 

HARTING Technology Group will use this year’s SPS – Smart Production Solutions expo (November 26-28, 2019 in Nuremberg) to showcase a slew of innovative products and solutions for digital and smart automation. The trade fair appearance will be marked by close cooperation with software developer PerFact (Herford) and the founding of the network for Single Pair Ethernet (SPE). The SPE Network, an alliance of well-known technology leaders, intends to develop future-proof connectivity for industry and IT and to design an SPE Ecosystem.

 

 

 

In addition to solutions in the Han B and Han-Eco B standards, rear-mountable interfaces for trouble-free data transmission will also be available as of Q1 2020 -- the Han B/EMC Rear-Fit. Simplified handling speeds up the processing of equipping control cabinets with interfaces and thus offers interesting options to manufacturers of robotics and automation technology.

 

 

 

The industrial sector is using ever smaller machines at the same time as the modularisation of plants and systems continues to progress. What is needed are compact, modular and robust connections for connecting small loads. HARTING is responding to this trend with the Han 1A. The rectangular connector has a whole host of advantages: the connector is suitable for the transmission of data, signals and power, and provides an ideal solution for e.g. control systems, smaller drives and switch cabinet installations.

 

 

 

HART Interface Solutions from Pepperl+Fuchs consist of two HART Multiplexer Systems for multiple signal loops and a HART Loop Converter for single loop applications. The Multiplexer is used to connect HART field devices to Asset Management Systems like AMS Suite: Intelligent Device Manager from Emerson Process Management. At the heart of HART Interface Solution (HIS), the HART Multiplexer acts like a gateway device, routing communications between the maintenance workstation PC and the HART field devices.

 

 

 

The 7500 series purge and pressurization system is a solution that enables conventional electrical equipment to be used in hazardous areas. Devices that require protection are installed in an enclosure with a pressure that is higher than that of the surrounding hazardous atmosphere.

One of Canada’s largest wastewater treatment plants at Annacis Island provides secondary treatment to approximately 175 billion litres of wastewater every year for over 1 million residents in 14 municipalities. After almost 20 years in operation, the variable frequency drives supporting the critical pumping systems for the primary treatment and secondary treatment facilities had to be replaced to ensure that the plant’s high operational availability and reliability will not be compromised in serving the plant, the surrounding municipalities and the environment.
