Rittal: Practical Benefits of Modular Industrial Enclosures

Improving the reliability of manufacturing processes can be done with the help of process control systems. The most significant advantage of control stations is that they help ensure that the processes are running smoothly.
According to the Carbon Trust, cash savings of up to 20 per cent can be achieved through energy efficiency measures such as installing variable-speed drives (VSD) for fans, pumps, and other motor driven systems.
Health and Safety (H&S) have always been one of Sonepar’s top priorities. However, the tasks regarding inspection procedures and incident reports have a reputation for being inconvenient and inefficient.
Industrial IoT (IIoT) and smart factory trends are redefining today’s OEM business model. Predictive maintenance, improved overall equipment effectiveness (OEE), and zero equipment downtime are goals that are commonly sought after for industrial machines, and machine builders are leaving no stone unturned to achieve these for their customers.
Schneider Electric Canada is leveraging artificial intelligence (AI) to transform energy management across various end markets. To help buildings in Canada reach net zero, Schneider takes a multi-pronged approach to leverage AI to identify energy inefficiencies in homes and commercial and industrial institutions and monitor and adapt the technologies that are implemented in them to reduce emissions. “The building sector in Canada is quite diverse, and from a Schneider Electric standpoint, we look at all buildings. We look at residential buildings like single family homes or mixed-use dwellings, and we look at commercial, retail, institutional, and industrial facilities as well,” says Richard Henzie, Director of the Smart Building Division at Schneider Electric Canada. “If you look at some of the statistics globally, buildings in general account for up to 37% of carbon emissions,” he says. This is a significant contribution, but the good news is, there are lot of ways to reduce this number: decrease the amount of embodied carbon in new builds and minimize the operational emissions every building produces when they consume energy. Henzie says Schneider has solutions and strategies to help these different types of buildings better manage their operational emissions, with the added benefits of creating a more comfortable atmosphere in any building and saving money.

Advanced Motion Controls is proud to announce the addition of six new CANopen servo drives with Extended Environment capabilities to their FlexPro line. These new drives join AMC’s existing EtherCAT Extended Environment FlexPro drives, making the FlexPro line the go-to solution for motion control applications in harsh environments.
Many motion control applications take place in conditions that are less than ideal, such as extreme temperatures, high and low pressures, shocks and vibrations, and contamination. Electronics, including servo drives, can malfunction or sustain permanent damage in these conditions.

Convergix Automation Solutions has completed the acquisition of AGR Automation (“AGR”), a UK-based provider of custom, high-performance automation design and systems integration primarily to the life sciences industry.
Following Convergix’s acquisitions of JMP Solutions in August 2021 and Classic Design in February 2022, AGR marks the third investment in Crestview’s strategy to build Convergix into a diversified automation solutions provider targeting the global $500+ billion market, with a particular focus on the $70 billion global systems integration and connectivity segments. Financial terms of the transaction were not disclosed.

Reliability, power quality, and retrofit reality rarely coexist. Most HVAC plants are forced to compromise — unless they change the approach. Variable Frequency Drives (VFDs) don’t just save energy — they define uptime, maintenance, and plant stability. SmartD removes the tradeoff instead of managing its consequences. No academic deep dive. Just the physics that matter. Read More…

As artificial intelligence (AI) and high-performance computing (HPC) continue to push the limits of processing power, traditional approaches to data center cooling must evolve. Data centers must innovate to manage the substantial heat generated by increasingly powerful GPUs and CPUs. One of the most effective emerging solutions is direct-to-chip liquid cooling, which supports AI workloads… Read More…
