All Happening Live: the Eplan Virtual Fair

RittalEplan 400

August 11, 2020

Last year Eplan welcomed around 1,400 attendees from 73 countries to its international Virtual Fair. Impressive figures – and that in times before such virtual formats had become the standard almost everywhere. This year the interest in new, innovative Leadership Talks, practice-oriented webcasts and worldwide chats for talking shop with other users is likely to increase again.

This year’s Eplan Virtual Fair has a full sixteen-hour programme planned. This year marks the fifth edition of the global “trade show on the net”, which has enjoyed a continually growing number of visitors from all around the world. The fair will be broadcasting, presenting and chatting live from 6.00 am to 10.00 pm (CEST). This year, the concept for the Eplan Virtual Fair was further refined: numerous country pavilions have been integrated, where the regional teams will be giving live talks – for instance from Spain, France, China and the US.

Live demonstrations will give users deep insights into the software, and Eplan experts will be giving current tips and tricks for the daily work in engineering – for instance about digitising engineering tasks with Eplan Preplanning or about wiring machines and devices with the help of the digital twin. Eplan consultants will be sharing their knowledge with visitors in tutorials and webcasts. Keynote presentations from customers such as Magtronics from Japan, Systems Engineering from Denmark, and A&E Engineering from the US will be some of the practically relevant highlights at the trade show. Those interested will get valuable in-depth looks into very specific best practices in engineering.

Rittal teams up with EPLAN to promote the Integrated Value Chain

The Canadian Pavilion will feature Rittal Systems Ltd. and include presentations, documentation, videos and case studies highlighting features and benefits from the world’s leading system supplier for enclosures, power distribution, climate control, IT infrastructure and software & services.

Rittal supplies all the automation support required to make enclosure assembly quicker, easier, more accurate and more reproducible. When combined with Eplan solutions, this makes it possible to link all enclosure assembly steps to create a highly efficient and digitally seamless automated process. Rittal and Eplan can supply all the necessary software tools, machinery and equipment.Canadian Pavilion

Leadership Talks with the Management Board

The event’s consistent practical orientation will be further focused at the senior management level: during the brand-new Leadership Talks – with CEO and Management Board – strategic topics are on the agenda:

  • Data continuity and data quality as decisive factors for success
  • Increasing productivity with services
  • The integrated value chain in control cabinet engineering

Middle-management attendees can also look forward to an interesting mix of topics. Integrating configuration for automated engineering, cloud-based solutions in the ecosystem of industrial automation, or implementing complete digitisation are topics of numerous live presentations.

You can now register for the Virtual Fair free of charge here.

ADVANCED Motion Controls Takes Servo Drives to New Heights (and Depths) with FlexPro Extended Environment Product Line

Advanced Motion Controls is proud to announce the addition of six new CANopen servo drives with Extended Environment capabilities to their FlexPro line. These new drives join AMC’s existing EtherCAT Extended Environment FlexPro drives, making the FlexPro line the go-to solution for motion control applications in harsh environments.

Many motion control applications take place in conditions that are less than ideal, such as extreme temperatures, high and low pressures, shocks and vibrations, and contamination. Electronics, including servo drives, can malfunction or sustain permanent damage in these conditions.

Mouser: Industrial Ethernet vs Fieldbus – Architecture, TSN & Migration

Fieldbuses once replaced bundles of wiring with shared, deterministic networks. For years, they carried control signals reliably and predictably. However, as equipment, sensors, and data systems proliferated, fieldbus limitations emerged. The central issue today is real-time operational visibility. Engineers need networks that move control data, diagnostics, and process information across the plant as reliably as… Read More…
