CompaXT: ABB’s Latest Compact Switchboard in the Reliagear Lineup & Designed for the Canadian Market

The ABB ReliaGear CompaXT Utility Service Entrance Switchboard is designed especially for the Canadian market. This compact solution combines an electrical distribution panel, a main service disconnect and a utility metering compartment in one space-saving unit that meets a variety of application needs.

Fast lead time and easily configured in empower, ABB ReliaGear CompaXT uses a Configured-to-Order approach that allows the customer to easily combine pre-engineered sub-assemblies to build the most compact Switchboard in the Reliagear Lineup. 

The switchboards are sent directly to manufacturing once they are ordered, removing engineering design time, and the drawings are immediately available in empower making the project turnaround time faster and easier.

Technical Specifications

  • Switchboard style, NEMA 1 enclosure type and NEMA 1 with drip hood.
  • 40″ W x 90″ H x 15″ D (1016 mm x 2286 mm x 381 mm) – main with the distribution section.
  • 25″ W x 90″ H x 15″ or 20″ D (635 mm x 2286 mm x 381 or 508 mm) – bussed pull section.
  • It operates at a maximum voltage of 600V with a heat rated amperage of 1200A.
  • The 80% rating ranges from 800A to 1200A, while the 100% rating ranges from 800A to 1000A.
  • The entry can be a cable or bussed pull section, with options for top or bottom feed.
  • Accepts incoming aluminum or copper cable.
  • The maximum bus KA rating is 50kAIC.
  • The neutral rating is 100% and heat rated.
  • Main devices are rated at 1200A, manually operated, and stationary.
  • Main device accessories include UV*, ST*, and field-installed options.
  • Compatible with all Major Canadian Utilities with their transformer provisions.
  • Branch feeder – Tmax MCCB 15-600A, including FB, XT1, XT2, XT4, and XT5.
  • Branch accessories – UV*, ST*, and field-installed options.
  • Branch mounting – 11X each side bus stack for XT plug-in breakers.
  • Bussed pull section rated at 90˚C.
