True North Solutions Expands Service Offering; Incorporates Electrical Instrumentation & Controls Field Services

True North Solutions, a Calgary-based industrial engineering solutions company, has recently announced that it has assumed operations of the ABB Electrical, Instrumentation and Controls (EI&C) Field Services business.

True North will incorporate the ABB EI&C Field Services resources, facilities, and personnel, which are located in Red Deer, Eckville, Rocky Mountain House and Edmonton. The new division will be marketed under the True North Solutions brand.

True North has appointed Tony Manning as President of the EI&C Field Services business. Tony Manning has over 30 years of direct operational and management experience with EI&C companies.

The establishment of this field services division, which provides industrial electrical, instrumentation, controls and telecom construction and maintenance services, will complement True North Solutions existing suite of services, said Executive Vice President, Darren Sharpe. “The addition of EI&C construction and maintenance capabilities will allow True North to provide a more wholistic service offering to our clients – from initial design and engineering stages to construction, commissioning, handover, and support services.”

True North will ensure a seamless transition for existing EI&C customers by maintaining operations out of the current ABB facilities and retaining existing resources at their respective site(s).

In addition to the established True North COR and best in class safety statistics, we will complement our programs by integrating a 30+ year instrumentation and electrical installation quality and safety program, which made the EI&C field service under ABB and formerly Ber-Mac an industry leader.
