Hammond Enters 2026 with Strengthened Rack Mounting Solutions, Designed for Edge Computing, Industrial IT & Critical Infrastructure

Hammond Manufacturing enters 2026 with a strengthened North American advantage and a product lineup built for the industries shaping the year ahead. Rising demand for local manufacturing, timely delivery, and rugged infrastructure is reshaping the IT landscape. Hammond is positioned at the center of this shift with solutions “Made in North America” and designed for edge computing, industrial IT, and critical infrastructure.

  • Nearshoring: Continues to accelerate across public and private sectors, pushing organizations to source from dependable North American manufacturers. Hammond’s North American production footprint ensures fast delivery, predictable lead times, compliance, quality, and the supply-chain stability buyers now require.
  • Edge & Micro Data Centers: These are expanding rapidly, driven by retail, healthcare, telco, and advanced manufacturing. Hammond’s open frame racks and wall-mount racks and cabinets give customers the small-footprint reliability these deployments demand.
  • Critical Infrastructure Modernization: This area is also gaining momentum, as utilities, transit systems, and public safety networks are investing in seismic-rated, rugged, and secure solutions. Hammond’s Seismic certified, and NEMA compliant cabinets, support these mission-critical upgrades with rugged performance and secure designs for indoor and outdoor applications.
  • Customization: Remains a defining trend heading into 2026, as customers want tailored racks and cabinets, without the cost or delay of full custom manufacturing. Hammond’s Specialty Solutions offering allows customers to tailor their designs to manufacture their perfect, specialized solution. This provides flexibility at scale, project-specific dimensions, plus features, and accessories with minimal impact on lead times. Custom, without the custom price!
  • Industrial & IT Convergence: Continuing to reshape facilities across North America. Plants and smart operations increasingly require IT hardware that can withstand harsh environments. Hammond offers NEMA compliant, industrial grade, locked, and secure cabinets engineered to protect critical infrastructure in both indoor and outdoor environments.
  • Sustainability & Low-Carbon Procurement: This remains a driving factor in purchasing decisions. Public and Private sectors are expanding green procurement policies that require transparent, environmentally responsible manufacturing. Hammond supports this shift through North American production that reduces transportation-related emissions and through operations that exceed environmental regulations in both Canada and the United States. Hammond’s full sustainability report can be viewed here.
