AutomationDirect: Select Saginaw Enviroline Series Enclosures Offer New Custom Paint Options

AutomationDirect now offers custom paint selections for Saginaw carbon steel Enviroline series single-door enclosures with ¼-turn latches.

These enclosures can be custom-ordered with one of 15 color options in addition to the standard gray or light gray color. Custom paint options include graphite black, gentian blue, light blue, pebble gray, traffic orange, flame red, zinc yellow, moss green, and more.

Enviroline enclosures are stylish, versatile all-purpose enclosures that feature a flush-fitting door with a flange trough collar around the door opening to channel liquids away. The removable doors are secured by the exclusive SCE concealed hinge that allows a 180-degree opening. The standard 1/4-turn semi-flush latches can be replaced with a variety of specialty latch insert choices.

Enviroline enclosure models offer NEMA 3R, 4, 12 and 13 ratings; stainless steel models also meet NEMA 4X.  Custom-painted enclosures are made to order, requiring a setup fee of $233 per color, regardless of quantity.

    Phoenix Contact: Versatile in Use – The New Universal Tools

    The Unifox-MP multifunctional pliers with ergonomic two-component handle combine six or seven functions in a single tool. They make it possible to not only grip, bend, and cut wires, but also to strip cables and crimp ferrules. Their angled tip can be used to easily pierce and deburr flush-mounted sockets. While the Unifox MP 6-1 can be used to cut cables without crushing, the Unifox-MP 7-1 has a diagonal cutter. This means that fine, medium-hard, and piano wires can be effortlessly cut to length. In addition, the pliers provide a crimping area for insulated ring cable lugs. The Unifox-Wrench pliers wrench combines the functions of pliers and a wrench. Ideal for gripping, holding, bending, and turning nuts and bolts, it offers continuous adjustment via push button and an integrated scale for quick and easy setting of the wrench size. The smooth gripping jaws, which can be moved in parallel, protect sensitive surfaces against damage. Thanks to the leverage ratio of greater than 10:1, the pliers wrench ensures a high clamping force and therefore a secure hold. The Unifox-LM “Linemans” combination pliers are ideal for gripping, bending, and twisting wires as well as for pin crimping uninsulated cable lugs. The ergonomic two-component handle ensures comfort, while the toothed gripping surfaces and the additional gripping area below the joint provide optimum grip. With the extra-long blades with a cutting hardness of 62-64 HRC, the Unifox LM offers optimum cutting performance and durability.

  • AutomationDirect Adds 22-Gauge Machine Tool Wire

    Insulation type MTW machine tool wire is now available in 22-gauge from AutomationDirect. Existing MTW wire sizes are 20 AWG to 10 AWG. The 22 AWG wire offers an 8% smaller diameter with a 3 amp 600-volt rating which is needed for many types of terminal block connections that cannot accept larger wire. MTW wire is designed and approved for use in industrial and commercial equipment.
