The VTUX offers a wide range of integrated functions that significantly increase efficiency and user-friendliness. One feature is the valves with digital inputs, which enable simple assignment. Whether via M8 connections or PNP/NPN signals – integration is uncomplicated and flexible. The valve manifolds also feature innovative vacuum solutions with an air-saving function that not only conserves resources but also optimizes operating costs. The internal serial communication enables easy access to parameters and diagnostics, which considerably simplifies system maintenance and monitoring. These functions make VTUX a powerful solution for modern automation requirements.
Balluff’s new condition monitoring sensor can measure vibration, temperature, relative humidity, and ambient pressure. The feature-rich sensor collects and processes these readings and outputs digital statistical data to a host system via IO-Link.
Phoenix Contact’s new Ethernet-APL switches enable the two-wire Ethernet connection of devices and sensors in the Ex-zones of process technology applications (“Ethernet in the field”). This allows sensors and devices from the field level to be connected directly to the system’s Ethernet network. The data from the field level can be used in real time for process control, monitoring, and diagnostics.

Advanced Motion Controls is proud to announce the addition of six new CANopen servo drives with Extended Environment capabilities to their FlexPro line. These new drives join AMC’s existing EtherCAT Extended Environment FlexPro drives, making the FlexPro line the go-to solution for motion control applications in harsh environments.
Many motion control applications take place in conditions that are less than ideal, such as extreme temperatures, high and low pressures, shocks and vibrations, and contamination. Electronics, including servo drives, can malfunction or sustain permanent damage in these conditions.

Most electromagnetic brakes work on a simple logic: apply current, apply braking. Remove current, release braking. For many industrial applications, conveyors, packaging lines, printing machines, this is exactly the right behavior. The brake engages on demand and releases when not needed. But for a significant class of machines, this logic is exactly backwards. Robots, vertical… Read More…

When selecting industrial electrical components, certification is more than a logo on a datasheet. A certification mark indicates that a product or component has been independently evaluated against specified requirements for its intended market. In North America, selecting products with the appropriate certification can affect regulatory acceptance, equipment certification, inspections and project completion. The key… Read More…
