Festo’s New CMMT-ST-C8-1C-MP-S0 Servo Drive Offers Dynamic Performance for Positioning & Movement Tasks
Festo’s extremely small servo drive CMMT-ST performs positioning and movement tasks up to 300 W, highly efficiently, dynamically, and precisely, point-to-point or by interpolation. The new CMMT-ST supports stepper, BLDC, and EC motors, with fast commissioning and Auto-Tuning via Festo Automation Suite. The multiprotocol variant integrates Profinet, EtherCAT, Ethernet/IP, and Modbus in a single hardware platform, simplifying fieldbus integration.
Efficient, compact, and ready to run from the first cycle.
Features
- Space-optimized servo drive controller for operating stepper motors, brushless DC motors (BLDC motors) and EC motors
- Ideal for positioning tasks and point-to-point and interpolating movement solutions
- With the new multiprotocol variant (CMMT-…-MP) all fieldbuses (Profinet, EtherCAT, Ethernet/IP, Modbus) are integrated in one servo drive hardware
- A servo drive for direct fieldbus integration to major controller manufacturers with associated function blocks
- Integrated safety functions STO (SafeTorqueOff) – Cat 3, Ple / SIL 3 / SILCL 3 ensure safe operation
- For highly economical applications with low power requirements of 150 W at 24 V DC, 300 W at 48 V DC and a peak power of 800W
- Energy recovery and energy management ensure sustainable operation and increased efficiency
- Auto-tuning makes the commissioning of rotary and linear motion even easier
- High efficiency in tasks with low power requirements
- 50% more compact than the smallest servo drive CMMT-AS
- Ideal for use with stepper motors such as the EMMB-ST and EMMT-ST, BLDC motors and EC motors
- Fits perfectly into our holistic product portfolio of electromechanical actuators, motors, drive controllers and control systems
