GL Series: Expanded Range of Switch Disconnectors Offer the Effective Reliability & Durability Industrial Applications Require

LOVATO Electric expands its range of GL series switch disconnectors with new sizes from 1000A to 2000A AC21A. Designed to ensure maximum safety, ease of installation and high performance, the GL series switch disconnectors are a reliable, versatile and safe choice for industrial and plant applications.

The new electrical sizes are available in both three-pole and four-pole versions and include cULus certified versions according to the UL98 standard rated at 800A, 1200A and 1600A for the North American market, and IEC versions rated at 1000A, 1600A and 2000A. The entire range is characterised by a high breaking capacity, reaching AC23 rated currents up to 2000A at 415V and 1600A at 690V.

One of the strengths of the GL series is the compact design, which enables easy installation even in confined spaces.
Thanks to the modularity of its components, installers can quickly configure the most suitable solution for the electrical panel:

  • Direct operation or door coupling handles, padlockable, easy to install and remove thanks to snap-on mounting, and available with the highest protection ratings IP66, IP69K and NEMA 4X
  • Earth/ground and neutral terminals that can be freely positioned
  • Auxiliary contacts, terminal clamps, phase barriers, bridging bars and other accessories that can be easily integrated

Disconnection is performed by double-breaking rotary contacts for each pole; this ensures fast operation and high breaking capacity. In addition, the transparent front window on each power pole allows the open or closed status of the switch to be viewed, even from a distance.

With new sizes up to 2000A, the GL series expands to offer even greater value to designers, machine builders and installers: compact, safe, certified and easy-to-configure devices, ready to enhance the efficiency and reliability of any electrical panel.

ADVANCED Motion Controls Takes Servo Drives to New Heights (and Depths) with FlexPro Extended Environment Product Line

Advanced Motion Controls is proud to announce the addition of six new CANopen servo drives with Extended Environment capabilities to their FlexPro line. These new drives join AMC’s existing EtherCAT Extended Environment FlexPro drives, making the FlexPro line the go-to solution for motion control applications in harsh environments.

Many motion control applications take place in conditions that are less than ideal, such as extreme temperatures, high and low pressures, shocks and vibrations, and contamination. Electronics, including servo drives, can malfunction or sustain permanent damage in these conditions.
