Moxa Whitepaper – Protecting Industrial Control Systems with Gigabit Cybersecurity
Data centres are the backbone of the digital world. They serve as the foundation for various online activities like streaming, e-commerce, and website/app usage. In today’s tech-driven world, attention is actively captured by online activities, all of which heavily depend on data centres. The demand for storage and processing is skyrocketing, further propelling this growth is the rapid adoption of emerging technologies such as artificial intelligence, machine learning and big data analytics. The Internet of Things (IoT), which connects the digital and physical worlds through a network of sensors, and the rollout of 5G networks for mobile devices will fuel the exponential growth of data centres.
With IoT Insights Bosch Rexroth brings the analytical potential of the Internet of Things into the production hall and makes optimizing machines and production lines considerably easier. The new system solution contains everything that IoT users, including machine operators and maintenance technicians, need to be able to quickly collect, pass on and analyze data: sensors, a pre-installed IoT Rack including industrial PC and I/O modules as well as pre-installed IoT Gateway software, database and dashboard for local analysis and visualization.
Today still, the human hand is regarded as the benchmark when it comes to flexibility of gripping tools. Particularly when it comes to service and assistance robotics, humanoid manipulators that enable the widest variety of gripping variants will be more and more in demand in future.
Webinar Overview: Keeping employees safe at work has to be responsibility number one for any company and yet electrical incidents continue to occur yearly despite awareness campaigns and best efforts. A number of these incidents occur due to unintended contact with energized conductors and one root cause could be the standard Test Before Touch approach…
Are you still tracking OT assets on spreadsheets? OT endpoint protection is a necessity to protect the world’s infrastructure, but in many cases, it’s not deployed due to several key challenges. The unique characteristics of OT networks make running traditional endpoint protection solutions very difficult if not impossible. Recognizing these challenges, Rockwell Automation has leveraged more than 25 years of ICS engineering experience to build SecureOT Platform. SecureOT Platform delivers complete OT endpoint protection and directly addresses the visibility and complexity of the challenges you face every day. Their team has experience operating SecureOT Platform in various plants and control systems across all vendors. They have been in your shoes and understand the unique complexities of these systems. SecureOT Platform was intentionally built to be an OT-safe, effective solution to address the unique challenges of industrial environments.
Whether due to a bustling economy, reshoring, better technology or a skilled- labor shortage, manufacturers are automating more than ever before. According to ASSEMBLY magazine’s annual Capital Equipment Spending Survey, 89 percent of U.S. factories employed manual assembly processes in 2009, while only 17 percent used fixed automation. A decade later, those numbers are decidedly different. In 2018, 77 percent of factories employed manual assembly processes, but 31 percent used fixed automation.

Advanced Motion Controls is proud to announce the addition of six new CANopen servo drives with Extended Environment capabilities to their FlexPro line. These new drives join AMC’s existing EtherCAT Extended Environment FlexPro drives, making the FlexPro line the go-to solution for motion control applications in harsh environments.
Many motion control applications take place in conditions that are less than ideal, such as extreme temperatures, high and low pressures, shocks and vibrations, and contamination. Electronics, including servo drives, can malfunction or sustain permanent damage in these conditions.
