DTFK Series: An Ideal Solution for Industrial Automation, Networking, Telecommunications & Edge Computing Applications

The DTFK Series Thermostat-Controlled Fan Kits provide intelligent cooling for rack cabinets and industrial enclosures by operating only when additional airflow is required. An integrated adjustable thermostat automatically activates the fan as enclosure temperatures rise and shuts it off once the desired temperature is restored. This helps protect sensitive electronics while reducing energy consumption, noise, and unnecessary fan wear.

Available in both intake and exhaust configurations with airflow up to 550 CFM, the DTFK Series is ideal for industrial automation, networking, telecommunications, and edge computing applications. Designed for Hammond filtered enclosures and compatible with many products featuring the standard 4.7-inch fan pattern, these kits offer an easy way to improve thermal management without continuous fan operation.

Features

  • Heavy-duty AC cooling fans with integrated thermostat automatically switch on and off based on enclosure temperature, helping maintain safe operating conditions while reducing unnecessary fan operation.
  • Adjustable thermostat controls temperatures from 32°F to 140°F (0°C to 60°C), allowing cooling to match your application.
  • Available as exhaust and intake fan configurations to support different airflow strategies and enclosure layouts. Airflow ranges from 105 CFM to 550 CFM, depending on the model.
  • Designed for Hammond NWC Type 12 Filtered and selected NWM enclosures, while compatible with many Hammond products using the standard 4.7-inch fan opening. Additional mounting hardware is included where required.
  • Complete kit includes the fan, integrated thermostat, 6-foot power cord, chrome safety grill, and mounting hardware for fast installation.
  • Reduces continuous fan operation, helping decrease noise, energy consumption, and fan wear compared to continuously running cooling systems.
  • Fan components are UL 507 recognized, and CSA certified for dependable operation.
  • Operating temperature range of -20°C to +60°C with 5% to 95% non-condensing humidity.
  • Decibel (db) rating is measured at 12” to 24” from the source.
  • TAA compliant, RoHS compliant, and REACH compliant. Manufactured in North America.

Where the DTFK Series Works Best

  • Industrial control panels with varying heat loads.
  • Type 12 filtered enclosures.
  • Edge computing and remote equipment cabinets.
  • Network and telecommunications cabinets.
  • Manufacturing facilities with dusty environments.
  • Installations where continuous fan operation is unnecessary.

Best Applications

  • Automatically cooling PLCs and industrial control equipment.
  • Maintaining operating temperatures for network switches and communications equipment.
  • Ventilating filtered enclosures without continuous fan operation.
  • Reducing heat buildup in unattended equipment cabinets.
  • Retrofitting existing enclosures with intelligent cooling.

ADVANCED Motion Controls Takes Servo Drives to New Heights (and Depths) with FlexPro Extended Environment Product Line

Advanced Motion Controls is proud to announce the addition of six new CANopen servo drives with Extended Environment capabilities to their FlexPro line. These new drives join AMC’s existing EtherCAT Extended Environment FlexPro drives, making the FlexPro line the go-to solution for motion control applications in harsh environments.

Many motion control applications take place in conditions that are less than ideal, such as extreme temperatures, high and low pressures, shocks and vibrations, and contamination. Electronics, including servo drives, can malfunction or sustain permanent damage in these conditions.
