Eaton has recently announced the opening of its newest global Innovation Center near Montreal in Brossard, Quebec, following nearly four decades of developing cutting-edge software in the region. At the 35,000-square-foot space, Eaton will accelerate the research and development of distributed energy resource (DER) technologies enabling sustainable electricity for buildings, homes, industry and the electric grid. Eaton is bringing approximately 150 highly specialized jobs to Brossard, creating a local hub for power industry professionals with plans to grow in the region.
Emerson has announced a framework agreement with paint manufacturer Jotun to automate and digitalize its global manufacturing facilities. The five-year agreement will enable Jotun to implement Emerson’s digital technologies to enhance all aspects of manufacturing automation in new factories, and for selected upgrades in some of its 39 existing factories around the world.
Rockwell Automation recently announced that Emmanuel Guilhamon was named vice president, Sustainability, effective July 1. In this role, Guilhamon is responsible for developing, leading, and executing Rockwell’s global sustainability strategy that is focused on delivering three outcomes: sustainable customers, a sustainable company, and sustainable communities. Advanced Motion Controls is proud to announce the addition of six new CANopen servo drives with Extended Environment capabilities to their FlexPro line. These new drives join AMC’s existing EtherCAT Extended Environment FlexPro drives, making the FlexPro line the go-to solution for motion control applications in harsh environments.

Recently, Tri-Mach Inc. was thrilled to announce the addition of a new 45,000 sq ft. facility. Located at 285 Union St., Elmira, ON, this facility expands Tri-Mach’s capabilities, allowing them to better serve the growing needs of their customers.

Convergix Automation Solutions has completed the acquisition of AGR Automation (“AGR”), a UK-based provider of custom, high-performance automation design and systems integration primarily to the life sciences industry.
Following Convergix’s acquisitions of JMP Solutions in August 2021 and Classic Design in February 2022, AGR marks the third investment in Crestview’s strategy to build Convergix into a diversified automation solutions provider targeting the global $500+ billion market, with a particular focus on the $70 billion global systems integration and connectivity segments. Financial terms of the transaction were not disclosed.
