Cabling Installation & Maintenance Recognizes Leviton Network Solutions’ Achievements

Leviton Network Solutions has announced that it has been recognized in the Information and Communications Technology (ICT) industry by the 2025 Cabling Installation & Maintenance Innovators Awards. As part of this year’s award program, Leviton’s received a Platinum Award for its FDT (Foil-reduced Diameter Technology) Cat 6A F/UTP Shielded Cable, and a Gold Award for its Half-RU 24-Port Patch Panel. This recognition from a respected third-party panel highlights Leviton’s mission to develop solutions that directly address the need for faster, more cost-effective installations and greater density in crowded network environments. The third-party judging panel included cabling and communications system specifiers, designers, integrators and managers with vast professional experience.

We are honored by this recognition from Cabling Installation & Maintenance as it validates our commitment to our customers to provide them with solutions that make their jobs easier and more efficient. As we build what’s next in network infrastructure, we will continue to deliver speed, scale, agility and assurance for our customers.

Dean Lipke, Vice President of Global Product Management with Leviton Network Solutions

The Platinum award-winning FDT Cat 6A shielded cable was recognized for delivering the smallest outside diameter F/UTP Category 6A-rated cable on the market. This groundbreaking new cable is designed with Precision Twist Technology, a proprietary technology that precisely controls variation in the cable’s twist, enabling Category 6A performance in a much smaller form factor. This facilitates exceptional alien crosstalk performance, surpassing industry standards, all within a compact cable design. The cable’s compact design decreases installation costs, leveraging smaller trays and conduits in new builds and reusing existing pathways in retrofit projects. The FDT Cat 6A shielded cable is available in various fire safety ratings to support different installation environments worldwide.

FDT is the most innovative shielded Cat 6A cable we have ever developed. Using our Precision Twist Technology, our engineers were able to eliminate the cable cross-filler, creating a solution that is smaller, lighter and easier to install, reducing termination time and jobsite waste.

Todd Harpel, Senior Director of Global Copper Cables at Leviton

The Gold-Award winning Half RU 24-Port Universal Patch Panel was created to fulfill a need for higher-density installations in environments like telecom rooms, entrance facilities, data centers and consolidation points. This panel offers a global solution for dense racks and cabinets with an easy and efficient way to add network connections and reclaim rack space. The low-profile panel is designed for racks or zone enclosures with limited usable space, applications where maximizing airflow through the back of the panel is a priority, and installations designed to optimize efficient scaling over time.

This unique panel also includes an integrated cable management tray with cable singulation capabilities as well as an earthing PEM providing appropriate grounding for both UTP and shielded applications. The Half RU Panel works in both shielded and unshielded channels and provides excellent protection against EMI/RFI, enhanced signal isolation and mitigates alien crosstalk (AXT).

By continuously developing advanced solutions like the FDT Cat 6A shielded cable and the Half-RU Patch Panel, Leviton remains dedicated to empowering its customers with the tools needed for faster, more efficient, and denser network installations. As the ICT landscape evolves, Leviton’s commitment to pushing the boundaries of technology ensures it will continue to deliver the speed, scale, agility, and assurance critical for future network infrastructure.
