Emerson has announced the release of the Rosemount 2405 Monitoring Hub, a simple yet powerful device that delivers full inventory control and monitoring of multiple storage tanks. The Rosemount 2405 is designed to simplify tank monitoring system architecture, enabling organizations to automate applications previously deemed too complex or costly. The insights provided by the hub help to optimize inventory management, leading to improved decision-making, increased operational efficiency and reduced costs. Many organizations within the chemical, refining, oil and gas, metals and mining, and food and beverage industries still rely on manual inventory checks and lack the capability to implement an automated tank monitoring system. This can be compounded by the complexity and cost of integrating system components such as a display, a communication unit and a data concentrator. By integrating these three components into a single device, the Rosemount 2405 simplifies system architecture, making it easier and less costly to upgrade to an automated solution.
Littelfuse, Inc. a global manufacturer of technologies in circuit protection, power control and sensing, recently announced the Gate Drive Evaluation Platform (GDEV). The new evaluation platform helps designers evaluate SiC MOSFETs, SiC Schottky diodes, and other peripheral components like gate driver circuitry, so that they can better understand how silicon carbide technologies will behave in converter applications under continuous operating conditions.

Advanced Motion Controls is proud to announce the addition of six new CANopen servo drives with Extended Environment capabilities to their FlexPro line. These new drives join AMC’s existing EtherCAT Extended Environment FlexPro drives, making the FlexPro line the go-to solution for motion control applications in harsh environments.
Many motion control applications take place in conditions that are less than ideal, such as extreme temperatures, high and low pressures, shocks and vibrations, and contamination. Electronics, including servo drives, can malfunction or sustain permanent damage in these conditions.

For decades, the traditional server room was the center of an organization’s IT infrastructure. Servers, networking equipment, and telecommunications hardware were all housed in large floor-standing cabinets within dedicated spaces. Today, that model is changing. As networks become more distributed and organizations deploy equipment closer to users, applications, and connected devices, wall-mount server cabinets are… Read More…
