Made in Canada: The Next Big Thing in Advanced Manufacturing

As the exclusive partner country for Hannover Messe, Canada is showcasing 220 of its brightest companies and research organizations in automation, digital transformation, alternative energy, hydrogen, and green technologies. See how Canada is shaping the future.

It is home to the world’s top-rated lithium-ion EV battery supply chain. It trails only China and America for its AI industry. And it is a top 10 green hydrogen producer. Unbeknownst to much of the world, it’s all happening in Canada. That’s about to change.

At Hannover Messe 2025, the theme this year is Unexpected Canada to show the world what it didn’t know. Canadian dominance across several advanced industries aside, many business leaders don’t know that Canada has the world’s most diverse workforce, decades of economic and political stability, a welcoming culture, and an abundance of natural resources. For the uninitiated, this is why Canada is uniquely positioned as an ideal place to do business.

A Quiet Powerhouse in Clean Energy

In the silent but fiercely contested race for clean energy dominance, Canada has emerged as the frontrunner. That comes from cutting-edge innovation and a strategic industrial approach, underpinned by rich critical mineral deposits and a mass hydroelectric industry.

Decoding Tomorrow: Canada’s AI & Quantum Revolution

Canada is a global leader in quantum computing and artificial intelligence, combining bold innovation with forward-thinking policies and collaboration. Canada ranks 1st in the 5-year average year-over-year (YoY) growth rate in AI talent concentration compared to G7 nations.

Quantum computing, once science fiction, is now revolutionizing industries, with Canada at the forefront. Using qubits and principles like superposition, quantum computers solve complex problems far faster than traditional systems. Supported by the federal government’s $360 million National Quantum Strategy, Canada is turning research breakthroughs into real-world solutions with economic impact, on display at Hannover Messe.

The Canadian Distinction

Canada’s niche lies in its unique marriage of natural resource abundance with a collaborative ecosystem of academic research, private-sector innovation, and government incentives.

Canadian success in green energy, AI and quantum computing isn’t just about megawatts and sheer scale—it’s about crafting a better way forward, defined by innovation, accountability and global partnerships.

The Future Beckons

As the world witnesses Canadian industrial excellence on display at Hannover Messe, it’s leadership across advanced industries stands as a testament to the power of innovation and collaboration. Located in Halls 2, 7, 12, 13, and 17, come discover just how Canada is truly shaping the future at Hannover Messe 2025.
