The energy and excitement was palpable at the 2024 edition of the MEET Show at the Moncton Coliseum on May 1 and 2.

The biennial Mechanical, Electrical, Electronic, and Technology show – celebrating its 25th year in 2024 – saw record-breaking attendance, welcoming 6,626 industry professionals to one of the largest tradeshows of its kind in Atlantic Canada. This year’s event featured a sold out exhibitor floor spanning across nearly 75,000 sq. ft. of the multi-purpose facility.

MEET Innovation Award

A distinguishing feature of MEET is the Innovation Awards, which recognizes the most innovative and industry-changing products. As one of the four sponsoring associations, EFC is proud to sponsor the Innovation Award and to showcase innovations in our industry.

Dialogue and Discussion Seminar Series

Another aspect of MEET is the seminar series on a wide range of industry topics. Each industry association hosted its own speaker and held free presentations on both days of the show.

EFC was pleased to host Andrew Pottier, Lead Regulatory Services Representative with Underwriters Laboratories of Canada, who presented on the topic of “Energy Storage Systems and the 2024 CE Code.” The informative presentation focused on several aspects of the 2024 CE Code and the differences to note from the 2021 CE Code.

Industry Networking Dinner

A feature that saw its long-awaited return was the Industry Networking Dinner. Presented by the Meet Show, the popular event sold out this year attracting more than 230 attendees. The evening featured fine dining and entertainment including circus performers, live music from Denis Surrette, close-up magic with Bill Petterson, and caricature artist Marc Little.

EFC Atlantic Region Women’s Network Dinner

As a tie-in to the activities happening around Moncton during the MEET Show, EFC’s Atlantic Region Women’s Network hosted its second annual dinner event on May 1 at the Gahan House. WN members enjoyed networking and camaraderie over a great meal and relaxed atmosphere. Thank you to all members who attended, and to our dinner sponsors ABBELP Marketing, and Graybar Canada!
