Bedford Industrial Automation: Shining a Light on Their Team Member – Ed Penwell

At Bedford Industrial Automation, they strongly believe that building a better future starts with sharing knowledge, investing in people, and giving back to their communities. Today, they want to take a moment to recognize and celebrate someone who embodies those values every day, Ed Penwell, Bedford’s Halifax Branch Manager. In addition to leading their Halifax operations with dedication and expertise, Ed has volunteered his time with a student from Riverview High School, focusing specifically on programming, automation and robotics applications. His willingness to mentor and inspire young minds, while balancing the demands of a busy professional schedule, truly reflects the leadership and passion they value so highly at Bedford. By sharing his real-world experience, Ed is not just teaching technical skills, he’s helping to shape the future of the automation industry, encouraging the next generation to innovate, to think critically, and to push the boundaries of what’s possible. On behalf of the whole team at Bedford Industrial Automation, thank you, Ed, for your leadership, your generosity, and your incredible commitment to making a difference. Bedford is proud to have you on their team, and even prouder to see the positive impact you are making beyond their walls. Bedford would also like to extend a special thank you to Ian Fogarty for coordinating these initiatives and creating opportunities for professionals and students to connect. Your efforts are building important bridges between education and industry, and the Bedford team is grateful to be part of that journey. Together, Bedford is investing in something bigger than themselves, the future of automation, and the future of their communities.
