IndustrialPI 4 4GB 32GB Enables Systems to be Adapted Flexibly to the Most Varied Requirements

The IndustrialPI 4 from Pilz is a real all-rounder and as such is able to map the most varied application requirements. This is enabled by the open, Linux-based operating system and modular hardware approach. It is left to the user to decide whether to use the IndustrialPI 4 4GB 32GB as an IIoT gateway, Edge Device, soft PLC or industrial PC, according to need, thus enabling the system to be adapted flexibly to the most varied requirements.

Customized Solution for Your Application

There are various options for programming individual applications. These include Node-RED, Python and direct C-programming. The IndustrialPI 4 has a modular structure, so you can configure the base unit with appropriate expansion modules, such as I/Os. The expansion modules can be connected to the base unit via a plug-in connector without using tools and can be configured with ease via a graphical user interface.

Via the two Ethernet sockets on the IndustrialPI 4, the device can be incorporated into the automation and IT network at the same time. Machine data can be transferred from the shop floor via Modbus TCP, for example, enabling it to be transferred to the cloud or a higher-level IT system in MQTT or OPC UA format.

NOARK: The Hidden Electrical Fault – Why RCCB Protection Matters

Electrical systems need to do more than deliver power—they need to protect the people and equipment that depend on them. While conventional circuit breakers protect against overloads and short circuits, another potentially dangerous electrical fault can occur without generating enough current to trip them: a ground fault. That’s why residual current protection is an important part… Read More…
