Festo, as a distributor, is now offering Magswitch switchable magnetic gripping and clamping solutions to automotive and original equipment manufacturers (OEMs). With Magswitch components, energy costs can be lowered by as much as 90%, throughput can be increased by up to 30%, and capital costs reduced by as much as 25% compared to systems using vacuum cups and pneumatic/electric grippers or clamps. Magswitch switchable magnets improve the productivity and quality of stamping, welding and pick-and-place operations and are designed to last the life of a production line.

Festo’s latest vision sensor, the economical SBSI, provides quick and easy installation and commissioning, even for someone lacking expert knowledge in industrial vision systems. Whether the vision sensor is destined to read codes or carry out simple quality inspections, the all-in-one SBSI series can be commissioned in just three steps: adjust the image with auto functions, select detectors and define the output. Everything needed for optics, lighting, evaluation and communication is fully integrated in the device.
