DXC Technology, HARTING Systems and Murata will present an innovative, RFID-based concept at “EuroShop 2020”, the world’s largest retail trade fair, held from 16-20 February 2020 in Düsseldorf. Developed by DXC, HARTING Systems and Murata, the RFID self-checkout counter enables a single scan of a complete shopping basket, providing a fast and seamless in-store shopping experience.
Higher amperage relay output modules and an 8-point input simulator module are now available from AutomationDirect for the CLICK® series stackable micro brick PLCs. The CLICK C0-04TRS-10 ($54.00) is a 4-point, 10A per point, isolated relay output module with four Form A (SPST) relays and 4 isolated commons. Operating voltage range is 6-24 VDC / 6-240 VAC.

Engineers can use the new Allen-Bradley 140MP Motor Protection Circuit Breakers from Rockwell Automation to simplify motor protection. With Sinamics Startdrive, Siemens offers a tool for the integration of drive hardware into the TIA Portal engineering framework. The integrated guided acceptance test for safety functions is available for Sinamics G and S series frequency converters and complies with EN ISO 13849-2 and IEC 62061.
Not every production line has a clean 1:1 ratio of products to barcodes. In fact, many finished products and works-in-progress carry multiple codes that serve different purposes. When each item has more than one barcode, the normal setup with a single reader capturing codes on each product likely won’t work.
