Compact NX1 Series Controller with OPC UA & SQL for IIOT applications
Phoenix Contact has added compact AC/DC power supplies ranging from 30 to 100 W to the premium QUINT POWER family. With these new low wattage additions, control engineers can select a more precise power supply for their low-power applications, while still getting advanced QUINT POWER features, such as preventative monitoring and power reserve.
With the ARM Cortex A53 processor, the new CX82xx Embedded PC series from Beckhoff uses a modern CPU architecture with two cores, thus offering more computing power for compact controls. The CX9240, which features the 4-core version of this processor, is even more powerful. A double main memory and 1 Gbit interfaces also contribute to the significant performance boosts compared to the predecessors.
The Type 3 safety light curtains PSENopt II from Pilz are the world’s first light curtain with approval from the global test organisation Underwriters Laboratories (UL), with its headquarters in Northbrook, USA.
In this update of the EPLAN Data Portal, there are now a total of 511 manufacturers and more than 1,900,000 data sets that are available with the latest updates in October 2024. New manufacturer catalogs are available from Akusense with 2,137 new data sets for sensors, switches and pushbuttons, Detas SpA with 1 new data set for housing accessories and external extensions, FUJI TERMINA INDUSTRY Co., LTD. with 16 new data sets for general products, and Quantum Devices with 10,032 new data sets for cables.
With the new AT-HA grommet, icotek is expanding its innovative IMAS-CONNECT adapter system with a forward-looking solution for industrial use. The AT-HA enables the integration of 3A and 4A plug inserts directly into an adapter cable entry without the need for an additional cut-out. The AT-HA cable gland is based on the icotek KT cable grommet ‘large’ and is equipped with a robust polyamide body. It is fully compatible with all icotek KT based cable entry systems and is delivered ready for use with a pre-assembled locking element. In combination with the 3A and 4A insert sets and the matching connector housings for M20 or M25 with cable glands, it provides a compact, efficient and flexible solution for a wide range of industrial applications.
In addition to the XTV terminal blocks with lateral conductor routing, the first terminal blocks with frontal Push-X connection are now available from Phoenix Contact. The XT portfolio consists of feed-through and multi-conductor terminal blocks as well as function versions for using disconnect knives, plug-in fuses, and components. As one of the fastest connection technologies on the market, the new Push-X technology from Phoenix Contact increases the efficiency of control cabinet wiring.

Advanced Motion Controls is proud to announce the addition of six new CANopen servo drives with Extended Environment capabilities to their FlexPro line. These new drives join AMC’s existing EtherCAT Extended Environment FlexPro drives, making the FlexPro line the go-to solution for motion control applications in harsh environments.

Recently, Tri-Mach Inc. was thrilled to announce the addition of a new 45,000 sq ft. facility. Located at 285 Union St., Elmira, ON, this facility expands Tri-Mach’s capabilities, allowing them to better serve the growing needs of their customers.

Convergix Automation Solutions has completed the acquisition of AGR Automation (“AGR”), a UK-based provider of custom, high-performance automation design and systems integration primarily to the life sciences industry.
Following Convergix’s acquisitions of JMP Solutions in August 2021 and Classic Design in February 2022, AGR marks the third investment in Crestview’s strategy to build Convergix into a diversified automation solutions provider targeting the global $500+ billion market, with a particular focus on the $70 billion global systems integration and connectivity segments. Financial terms of the transaction were not disclosed.
