Stellar Power & Control Solutions is pleased to announce it has merged the future customer and supplier relationships of Cybernetics Control Systems Inc.

As a result, Mike MacDonald, founder and former President of Cybernetics Control Systems (Cybernetics) will join Stellar Power as General Manager, along with key staff. Cybernetics is a recognized process automation and variable frequency drive (VFD) systems leader in British Columbia. The business operation of Cybernetics was recently wound down by its ownership group in order to focus its attention on the Cannabis extraction industry.

The appointment of Mike MacDonald as General Manager extends Stellar Power’s capability to provide complete end-to-end solutions for power and automated control solutions, from the design stage to product commissioning. Mike has over 27 years experience in the process automation industry. Mike said, “I intend to apply my industry knowledge and experience to further the development an already growing and exciting company.”

“Acquiring the service of Mike brings adjacent technology to our growing portfolio of power and control products and services, including standardized or custom design and production, while continuing to provide high value and superior service to our customers” said Ian Lewis, President of Stellar Power.

The company offers a wide range of automated electrical and control technology products and services, including small and large VFDs, motor control centres, electrical engineering, kiosks, control panels, SCADA / HMI integration, PLC, commissioning and full Auto-Cad services. Markets served include Municipal Water/Wastewater, Mining, Oil & Gas, Forestry, Pulp & Paper, Bio-energy, Agricultural, Marine and Food & Beverage.

This transaction follows Stellar Power’s previous strategic acquisition of PLC Technical Services in 2017 and is part of the company’s strategy of accelerating long-term organic growth through targeted, valuable acquisitions.
