A Guide to an Error-Free Wi-Fi Network Lifecycle

Predictive maintenance is changing the way industries manage their equipment. Unlike traditional maintenance methods, which rely on fixed schedules, predictive maintenance uses real-time monitoring to detect potential issues early. This proactive approach reduces the likelihood of unexpected downtime and ensures that maintenance activities are performed only when necessary, optimizing resource allocation and reducing costs. One of the key advantages of predictive maintenance is the consistency and reliability of its data-driven approach. Real-time data is available for everyone to read and act upon, minimizing the variability that can arise from individual expertise. This ensures that maintenance decisions are based on accurate and up-to-date information, leading to more consistent and reliable operations. This not only frees up skilled labor for more critical tasks but also reduces overall maintenance costs. By automating the monitoring process, factories can achieve more efficient operations, ultimately improving their bottom line.
Digital transformation. Smart manufacturing. Industrial Internet of Things (IoT). A connected enterprise. Industry 4.0. Whatever you call it, data drives it. Digitalization is a fundamental element of a food and beverage producer’s success. Getting it right from the start can be the difference between unlocking millions in operational savings, or losing the same in inefficiencies and wasted time.
More frequent process changes. New technology. Larger datasets. Greater traceability and compliance requirements. Tighter budgets. Sound familiar? From oil refineries to food and beverage plants, process engineers are being asked to manage increasingly complex systems – and to do more with less. The good news is the latest distributed control system (DCS) platforms have kept pace with technological developments.
Thermal imaging technologies like the ones by FLIR improve safety, operational efficiency, and cost savings in many automated and industrial applications. By capturing the infrared radiation emitted by an object or process, it identifies thermal anomalies that warrant further investigation by experts. Today, thermography is more sophisticated and accessible than ever, making is easy for anyone to begin to benefit from this technology. Rob Milner, Business Development Director, FLIR, a Teledyne Technologies company, discusses their latest wide-angle thermal lens and how industries are benefiting from thermal imaging right now.

Advanced Motion Controls is proud to announce the addition of six new CANopen servo drives with Extended Environment capabilities to their FlexPro line. These new drives join AMC’s existing EtherCAT Extended Environment FlexPro drives, making the FlexPro line the go-to solution for motion control applications in harsh environments.
Many motion control applications take place in conditions that are less than ideal, such as extreme temperatures, high and low pressures, shocks and vibrations, and contamination. Electronics, including servo drives, can malfunction or sustain permanent damage in these conditions.
