Littelfuse: Uninterruptable Power Supply (UPS) & Energy Storage System (ESS)
According to Hansotia, about “13% of the global calories came out of production” when Russian and Ukrainian borders shut down. The Russia-Ukraine war has put pressure on farmers globally to produce more crops to make up for a gap in supply left by the two countries.
Littelfuse, Inc. has recently launched its Class J Fuse Disconnect Switch. The compact device combines a switch and multiple fuses into a single product offering a simpler way to manually open and close a circuit while safeguarding against overcurrent and short circuits. When the switch detects an overload or short circuit, the fuse blows automatically to open or break the circuit both upstream and downstream and shuts off the equipment.
As factories become more connected and fast-changing, traditional safety systems often fall short. Scalable safety networks offer a flexible, modular solution that helps manufacturers stay ahead on safety, compliance, and productivity. This architecture allows manufacturers to easily add or remove safety devices without reconfiguring the entire system. The benefits are clear, such as reduced wiring complexity, faster commissioning and improved diagnostics.
Littelfuse, Inc., a global manufacturer of technologies in circuit protection, power control and sensing, today issued a case study discussing how its Ground-Fault Ground-Check Monitor increases safety and prevents hazards in the hydraulic fracturing market. Traditionally, fracturing relied on fleets that used diesel-powered engines that emitted carbon, noise and silica dust. To create a more environmentally-friendly way of extracting natural gas or petroleum from the Earth, companies have been moving toward electrically powered hydraulic fracturing equipment.
The market today is flooded with embedded solutions for the Industrial IoT. You can now choose from a wide variety of IIoT edge gateways, single-board computers, and development boards to implement your IIoT solutions. With single-board computers such as Raspberry Pi available for as low as US$ 40 per board, is it a good strategy to cast your lot with these development boards merely going by their low price.
A scene we see all too often. A busy coffee shop full of patrons sipping their favourite hot beverage, with the glow of laptops and iPads eagerly using up the available free Wi-Fi. Little do they know, this ubiquitous activity can open the door for cyber criminals to steal identities, data and attack any networks they are connected to.

Advanced Motion Controls is proud to announce the addition of six new CANopen servo drives with Extended Environment capabilities to their FlexPro line. These new drives join AMC’s existing EtherCAT Extended Environment FlexPro drives, making the FlexPro line the go-to solution for motion control applications in harsh environments.
Many motion control applications take place in conditions that are less than ideal, such as extreme temperatures, high and low pressures, shocks and vibrations, and contamination. Electronics, including servo drives, can malfunction or sustain permanent damage in these conditions.

Industrial systems create large volumes of data as they implement predictive maintenance and automation. Global data generation reached 181 zettabytes (ZB) in 2025, with estimates predicting 221ZB in 2026. Moving all that data to the cloud can overwhelm networks and slow response times. The latency of round-trip data to the cloud can range from tens… Read More…
