Adrian Thomas has been announced by Hammond Power Solutions Inc. as the Company’s next Chief Executive Officer, replacing Bill Hammond who will assume the position of Executive Chairman after 22 years as the CEO. Mr. Thomas will also be appointed to HPS’ Board of Directors. The announcement follows an extensive search process conducted by the Board of Directors which included the evaluation of highly qualified internal and external candidates and was aided with the support of an executive search firm.

Dino Alimonti has been selected as Vice President, Sales, Eaton Canada, effective July 1, 2023. For the second time within five years, a key figure at Universal Robots (UR), the Danish manufacturer of collaborative robots (cobots), has been awarded the world’s most prestigious robotics prize, the Joseph F. Engelberger Robotics Award, often described as the Nobel Prize of robotics. Following in the footsteps of UR’s co-founder Esben Østergaard, who was given the Engelberger Award in 2018 in the Technology category, Roberta Nelson Shea, UR’s Global Technical Compliance Officer received the award for Applications at a ceremony last night at the Automate Show in Detroit.
By developing wave energy converters, CorPower pursues the idea of converting waves into electricity. The challenge with wave energy is to design devices that are not only robust enough to survive the harshest ocean storms, but also capable of producing enough electricity compared to their size and cost. The transaction was originally announced August 11, 2022, and financial terms of the transaction were not disclosed. The business employs around 600 people and generated revenues of approximately $63 million in 2021. The acquisition of this business is part of the Motion business area’s profitable growth strategy. It strengthens ABB’s position as an industrial NEMA motor manufacturer, and it provides an even stronger platform from which ABB can better serve its global customers.
RTI has recently announced that Josh Litwack has joined the company as Vice President of Global Sales, reporting to CEO Joe Roberts. In this new role, Litwack will oversee all RTI sales activities and work with the RTI leadership team to develop new initiatives that support dealers and grow the RTI and Pro Control brands worldwide, plus the Blustream brand in the US and Latin America.
Leuze is placing its strong growth on a broader footing and has expanded its executive management. Xavier Hamers joined the company on April 1, 2023. By 2025, Leuze will have doubled its sales growth since 2020, and not for the first time. With a sales
increase of 25 percent, Leuze took another big step toward achieving this ambitious goal in 2022. And the
