Advantages

Produce Quickly Instead of Losing Time

The profitability of an investment begins with quick commissioning. The deTem safety light-beam sensors are ready to use in no time at all – thanks, among other things, to the integrated laser alignment aid and the intelligent column concept. Displays with multi-colored status LEDs and a top LED directly on the device provide additional support.

Simply Aligned

Alignment is child’s play for both single-sided and multi-sided access protection: like the device column, the mirror column is rotated and aligned directly on the base plate.

Precisely Adjusted

The integrated laser alignment aid, which is visible at up to 90 m, and the micro-alignment function ensure precise alignment of the deTem devices.

Ready for Immediate Use

All deTem variants are equipped with standardized connections, brackets and accessories to ensure they are ready for use quickly. The wiring is standardized with M12 connectors.

Single-Sided, Multi-Sided, Versatile

The deTem safety light-beam sensors are particularly economical for protecting large areas and access means. They monitor access to a hazardous area that people enter regularly but not frequently, e.g., to interact with a machine. Simply select the ideal function package for you according to the situation on-site and the required scanning range.

Access Protection up to 8 M

The deTem A/P variants are ideal for protecting small access means. These consist of an active part with a sender and receiver unit, and a passive, cable-free part. This minimizes the installation effort and increases the cost-effectiveness.

Single & Multi-Sided Access Protection up to 90 M

The long-range deTem Core and deTem4 variants are suitable for protecting large access points. For multi-sided access protection, mirror columns are used as well.

Muting Solutions for a Continuous Material Flow

deTem safety light-beam sensors with intelligent differentiation between person and material protect people without machines stopping or having to be stopped unnecessarily. The material flows smoothly, which ensures high productivity.

Flexible 2- or 4-Signal Muting

With the deTem4 A/P and DMM4 muting module, you can freely configure the muting parameters of your application using the Safety Designer software.

Pre-configured Complete Muting Kit

With the deTem4 LT Muting A/P, you get a complete plug-and-play kit for plants with pallet conveyor systems. The kit includes pre-installed and aligned muting sensors.

Simple 2-Signal Muting

Benefit from economically attractive X or L muting by combining the deTem4 A/P, SP2 system plug, and muting connector.

Secure Your Connection to the Future

Remote or on-site diagnosis? You decide. IO-Link and NFC provide reliable support in all cases. You have direct access to service and process data for efficient error analysis and continuous process optimization. In this way you will be ready for the future when it comes to safety and automation.

Safety & Automation Combined

Increase system productivity with fast error analyses and process optimizations. Diagnostic data can be read out in real time and from any location via IO-Link. This provides you with comprehensive sensor data for improved maintenance and process optimization, which increases system productivity.

Diagnostics by Smartphone

Using the NFC interface and the SICK Safety Assistant app, you can access data directly on the device via smartphone. No time-consuming connection facility is required. In combination with the DIP switch wizard, you can quickly configure deTem and obtain information for diagnostic purposes.

For Specific Environments: Special deTem Variants

The requirements on safety multibeam sensors are different depending on the industry. In food production and processing, hygiene standards are paramount, while in explosive areas, high ruggedness and reliable ignition protection are required. For this reason, SICK has developed various deTem versions that are specially adapted to the different industry requirements and at the same time offer high flexibility and productivity.

For Hygiene-Sensitive Areas

Access protection for areas with high hygiene standards is provided by the IP69K variants: the housings of the photoelectric sensors are easy to clean. They are made from food-friendly plastic and stainless steel. deTem IP69K variants meet Ecolab and Diversey certifications.

In Explosive Environments

Explosion-proof deTem variants are IECEx and ATEX certified and suitable for the following fields of application:

Zone 1/21: deTem4 Core Ex in a fully assembled and pressure-resistant, enclosed explosion-proof housing (Ex II 2GD).

Zone 2/22: deTem variants Ex II 3GD with extended ignition protection and special mechanical resilience.
