KEL-DPU-OD: Multi-Membrane Cable Entry Plates Designed for Exposure to Strong UV Radiation, Weathering & Temperature Fluctuations

The KEL-DPU-OD is ideally suited for applications in which cable entry components are permanently exposed to strong UV radiation, weathering and temperature fluctuations. Compared to standard versions, it offers increased material resistance and extended service life in outdoor environments. Thanks to its approvals, it is particularly suitable for the use in photo­voltaic systems (UL 6703, UL 6703A, UL 3703, UL 1703). F1 listing (UV and weather resistance according to UL 746C): The long-term durability means an increased service life without embrittlement or material fatigue.

KEL-DPU-OD entry plates are designed to route and seal cables without connectors (from 3.2 mm to 20.5 mm in diameter) in limited space with IP66 / IP68 / UL type 4X ratings. The gland KEL-DPU-OD is especially characterised by its very robust hard frame made of polypropylene which is completely moulded with elastomer. This results in a high ingress protection and stability as well as in a high strain relief level of the routed cables.

The KEL-DPU 24-OD matches exactly the cut-out dimensions of 24-pin standard industrial connectors. For optional screw assembly just pierce the membranes on the integrated screw holes with the screw itself. When plugging the KEL-DPU-OD from the inside of the enclosure the screw holes remain completely sealed by the elastomer layer.

The assembly of the KEL-DPU-OD with cables can be done quick and easy. Simply make a small hole in the thin membrane and push the cables through.

ST-B Plugs can be used for sealing pierced membranes if cables have been removed.

It is also possible to integrate threaded bushings. Please contact icotek about your desired variant.

The version with threaded bushings enables the cable entry plate to be screwed onto the housing from the inside out. This protects against vandalism and tampering with the housing from the outside.
