Schneider Electric Reinforces Commitment to Digital Transformation by Joining Paris Call for Trust & Security in Cyberspace

Schneider 400

January 2, 2019

Recently, Schneider Electric officially joined the Paris Call for Trust & Security in Cyberspace as part of the Paris Peace Forum. By answering the call as an early supporter, they are encouraging the global community to come together to share the responsibility of improving trust, security, and stability in the digital world with a clear cybersecurity strategy.

They support President Macron’s call to action by officially expressing their commitment to adopting a digital risk strategy that facilitates innovation, collaboration, and cyber resilience. Specifically, Schneider Electric supports the Paris Call’s key objectives of working along with customers, partners, and governments to:

• Prevent, respond to, and recover from malicious cyber risks and activities that threaten or cause significant, indiscriminate, or systemic harm to individuals and critical infrastructure;
• Strengthen the security of digital processes, products, and services, throughout their lifecycle and supply chain with a Cybersecurity by Design approach; and
• Promote the widespread acceptance and implementation of international norms of responsible behavior as well as confidence-building measures in cyberspace.

“A cybersecurity strategy can no longer be a reactive one. A proactive, holistic approach is imperative for businesses today. This conversation spans the entire organization, from the supply chain all the way to the digital ecosystem of partners and customers. One that requires resilient security and stability of the world’s critical infrastructure,” said Christophe Blassiau, Chief Information Security Officer, Schneider Electric.

Implementing a holistic cybersecurity approach requires an ecosystem of partners. Schneider leverages strategic partnerships with a variety of cybersecurity companies. For example, they partner with internationally-recognized OT infrastructure security and AI-based threat prevention companies to complement their internal approach. This collective expertise is leveraged in their EcoStruxure platform to offer their customers end-to-end cybersecurity solutions and services to protect our vast digital ecosystem.

By formally answering the Paris Peace Forum call to action, Schneider Electric commits to a brighter digital future – one focused on resilient security of our assets, partners, and customers.
